Introduction

MagPure Plasmid Mini Kit represents the standard magnetic bead branch within the Magen plasmid system. Rather than extending the manual column workflow, it provides a separate route built for high-throughput handling, deep-well plate processing and automation-compatible plasmid purification.

For low-endotoxin magnetic preparation, the corresponding support product is MagPure Plasmid EF Mini Kit(P1814). For standard column workflows, users should remain within the HiPure Plasmid Mini Kit(P1001) / P1002 / P1006 branch.

Engineering Characteristics

High-throughput magnetic workflow

The system is designed for deep-well plate handling and magnetic separation, making it more suitable for batch processing and automation-oriented laboratories than for routine single-column mini-prep use.

PW1-supported RNA control

Internal testing showed that bead-to-lysate ratio affects apparent plasmid yield. A PW1 wash step is recommended when reduced RNA interference and morereliable OD-based quantification are important, especially for medium- tolow-copy plasmids.

Batch-friendly and automation-oriented

The workflow is structured around repeated pipetting, shaking and magnetic separation steps, which makes it easier to integrate into automated or semi-automated laboratory formats.

Technical Validation

RNA carryover depends on wash conditions

Internal testing showed that increasing bead input without PW1 washing could raise OD-based yield partly through RNA carryover rather than true plasmid gain.

PW1 improves preparation quality

With PW1 washing, plasmid recovery became more consistent and better aligned with routine preparation expectations, particularly for medium- to low-copy plasmids.

High-throughput usability

Plate-based testing across multiple bacterial samples supported the product's role in batch and automation-oriented workflows.

Storage and Stability

RNase A and MagPure Particle NB should be stored at 2-8°C upon arrival. However, short-term storage (up to 24 weeks) at room temperature (15-25°C) does not affect its performance. The remaining kit components can be stored dry at room temperature (15-25°C) and are stable for at least 18 months under these conditions. After addition of RNase A, Buffer P1 is stable for 6 months when stored at 2-8°C.
