This column is used when sample input is limited and recovery efficiency becomes the main constraint. The HiPure DNA Nano Column is built on a fine-structure glass fiber membrane designed to maintain nucleic acid binding under low loading conditions.

In practice, it is often applied in micro DNA purification and viral nucleic acid preparation workflows where elution volume needs to be minimized. Compared with standard columns, the reduced membrane scale helps improve concentration while maintaining stable adsorption behavior over long-term storage.

Adsorption Mechanism

Based on the negatively charged DNA skeleton, it has a high affinity for positively charged glass fibers. In high salt and ethanol solutions, DNA/RNA binds to glass fiber and interacts with hydrophilic matrix on silica through hydrogen bond. DNA/RNA is tightly bound. All pollutants can be removed by washing solution. At high salt concentration, nucleic acids selectively bind to silica gel membrane, while other pollutants, mainly proteins, are removed by membrane washing.
