Magnetic bead-based clean-up systems are widely used in post-reaction nucleic acid workflows, particularly for PCR product purification, fragment size selection and sequencing reaction clean-up. These processes help remove residual primers, enzymes, salts and other reaction components prior to downstream analysis.
Within the Magen portfolio, clean-up bead systems are developed based on PEG-mediated binding chemistry, enabling selective adsorption of nucleic acids under controlled conditions. Depending on bead configuration and workflow parameters, these systems support routine DNA/RNA purification as well as more specialized applications such as fragment size control in NGS library preparation.
Different bead configurations are optimized for distinct workflow stages, including routine clean-up, selective removal of short fragments, RNA purification and sequencing reaction purification. This allows laboratories to build flexible and reproducible workflows across molecular biology and sequencing applications while maintaining compatibility with both manual handling and automated platforms.
