RNA purification from whole blood requires careful control of RNase activity and removal of inhibitory components such as hemoglobin and globin RNA. Reliable extraction systems are therefore required to maintain RNA integrity for downstream gene expression analysis and transcriptomics workflows.
Magen provides blood RNA extraction systems designed for both manual centrifuge workflows and automated magnetic bead purification platforms. These systems support RNA purification from fresh blood samples as well as preserved or frozen blood materials used in molecular analysis.
Within this system, the MagPure Blood RNA Kit (R6611) serves as the magnetic bead reference configuration for automated purification of RNA from whole blood. Laboratories performing column-based workflows may refer to the HiPure Blood RNA Kit (R4161) for routine RNA purification.
For workflows involving preserved or frozen blood samples, the MagPure Blood RNA Kit II (R6613) provides a workflow that does not require red blood cell lysis and supports RNA purification from fresh or frozen blood samples. Small-volume or low-input samples may also be processed using the MagPure Blood RNA Kit C (R6611C).
