Introduction
The HiPure Blood RNA Kit provides a column-based workflow for purification of total RNA from whole blood samples. The protocol includes erythrocyte lysis followed by isolation of leukocytes prior to RNA purification, allowing recovery of cellular RNA from peripheral blood samples.
Following leukocyte enrichment, RNA molecules are purified using a silica membrane column and sequential washing steps to remove proteins and salts. The workflow supports routine gene expression analysis and RT-PCR applications using blood-derived RNA.
For automated RNA purification from blood samples laboratories may use the MagPure Blood RNA Kit (R6611), while low-input blood RNA extraction including microRNA analysis can be performed using the MagPure Blood RNA Kit C (R6611C).
