Introduction
HiPure Plasmid Mini Kit II is the larger-input support product within the standard Magen plasmid mini-prep branch. It processes 5–15 mL of bacterial culture and recovers up to 70 µg of routine molecular-biology-grade plasmid DNA. The workflow retains the familiar alkaline lysis and silica membrane purification format while increasing the culture input and recovery capacity available from a single manual mini-prep column.
P1002 is intended for laboratories that need more DNA than a conventional 1–5 mL mini prep can provide without moving directly to midi-scale handling. For most routine mini-prep workflows, HiPure Plasmid Mini Kit (P1001) remains the core standard column product. When culture input increases to 25–50 mL, P1013 provides the corresponding FastFilter midi-scale route.
