Plasmid DNA Midi Prep Kit | FastFilter Clarification

Introduction

HiPure FastFilter Plasmid Midi Kit is the midi-scale product within the standard Magen plasmid column branch. It processes 25–50 mL of bacterial culture and recovers up to 250 µg of routine molecular-biology-grade plasmid DNA. Its defining feature is the FastFilter lysate-clarification step, which uses a dedicated filter syringe to remove neutralization precipitates before column loading and simplifies the handling of larger bacterial lysate volumes.

P1013 is intended for laboratories that need more plasmid DNA than a mini prep can provide while retaining a manual column workflow. P1014 provides the corresponding FastFilter route at maxi scale. Within the overall standard column system, HiPure Plasmid Mini Kit (P1001) remains the core reference product. For endotoxin-free preparation at comparable scale, users should select P1231 or P1156 according to the required yield and vector type.

Storage and Stability

The kit components can be stored dry at room temperature (15-25°C) and are stable for at least 24 months under these conditions. If any precipitates form in the buffers, warm at 37℃ to dissolve. After addition of RNase A，Buffer P1 is stable for 6 months when stored at 2-8°C.
