This kit incorporates enzymatic lysis strategies, including lysozyme-assisted digestion, to improve cell wall disruption while preserving genomic DNA integrity. The subsequent magnetic bead purification process is performed under controlled conditions to minimize shearing, enabling recovery of long DNA fragments suitable for downstream applications requiring high integrity.
For laboratories working with mixed or non-microbial samples, the MagPure Universal HW DNA Kit (D6381) provides a more general solution without specialized lysis steps.
