Introduction

MagPure Tissue HW DNA Kit is optimized for the extraction of high molecular weight DNA from animal tissues and other structurally complex biological samples. Compared with general-purpose workflows, tissue samples often introduce higher levels of proteins, lipids or residual cellular components that can affect DNA purity and recovery consistency.

This system integrates protease-based digestion with optimized binding and washing chemistry to improve impurity removal while maintaining DNA fragment integrity. The workflow is particularly suitable for soft to moderately complex tissue samples where standard lysis conditions may not be sufficient to achieve stable results across replicates.

For laboratories handling a wider range of sample types, the MagPure Universal HW DNA Kit (D6381) provides a more flexible option covering multiple sample categories under a unified workflow. When working with microbial samples, especially bacteria with rigid cell walls, MagPure Bacterial HW DNA Kit (D6383) offers enzymatic lysis strategies that are not included in tissue-oriented workflows. Similarly, fungal and plant samples typically require more specialized disruption or inhibitor control approaches, which are addressed by MagPure Fungal HW DNA Kit (D6384) and MagPure Plant HW DNA Kit (D6385).

Storage and Stability

Proteinase K, RNase A and MagPure Particles G2 should be stored at 2–8°C upon arrival. However, short-term storage (up to 24 weeks) at room temperature (15–25°C) does not affect their performance. The remaining kit components can be stored at room temperature (15–25°C) and are stable for at least 18 months under these conditions.
