Introduction

HiPure Plasmid EF Mega Kit is the largest support product within the low-endotoxin plasmid branch. It is designed for laboratories that require EF-grade plasmid DNA at a scale beyond routine maxi preparation. Rather than serving as the core EF reference, its role is to extend the low-endotoxin workflow toward high-volume plasmid production.

This format is built around an ultra-high-binding matrix and is better suited to very high-yield preparation from high-copy plasmids than to broader medium- to low-copy EF workflows. For most low-endotoxin column workflows, HiPure Plasmid EF Maxi Kit B (P1156B) remains the EF core reference product. P1116 is the appropriate upgrade when total plasmid output or culture volume exceeds routine maxi handling. Laboratories working at smaller EF scales may refer to P1154, P1231 or P1157 depending on whether the need is mini, midi or 96-well throughput.

Engineering Characteristics

Ultra-high binding matrix

The modified binding matrix is designed for much higher plasmid bindingcapacity than conventional silica membrane formats, making the system moresuitable for very high-yield preparation from high-copy plasmids at mega scale.

Mega-scale preparation format

The workflow is positioned for larger culture input and higher total plasmidoutput than routine maxi-scale preparation, extending the low-endotoxin branchtoward high-volume plasmid production.

Selective high-yield positioning

This format is better suited to very high-yield preparation from high-copyplasmids rather than to broader medium- to low-copy workflows, especially whentotal output is the main requirement.

Storage and Stability

The kit components can be stored dry at room temperature (15-25°C) and are stable for at least 18 months under these conditions. If any precipitates form in the buffers, warm at 37 to dissolve.
